Sitting high on the rim rock above the Spokane River, one can enjoy the breath taking view of Spokane's "Bowl and Pitcher" and Riverside State Park, while the stunning mid-century modern design of Sunset Mausoleum contrasts with the classical architecture of the many private mausoleums, offices and maintenance structures built in the early 20th century.
Originally established as Fairmount Cemetery on May 29, 1888, Fairmount Cemetery served as the Spokane community's "Official City and County Burial Ground". This cemetery park is made up of 160 acres, with just over 80 developed.
